Domenic has over 17 years’ experience practicing as a criminal defence lawyer. 

He is a Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Accredited Criminal Law Specialist, having attained his Specialisation in 2018 after successfully completing the LIV’s Criminal Law Specialisation Program. He is an expert in both criminal law and procedure.

Awards 

Domenic is an accomplished lawyer, having received consecutive recognition in Doyle’s Guide as leading Criminal Defence Lawyer in from 2023 to 2026. In 2026, he was also awarded the highest honour of achievement at Lawyers & Barristers Awards, recognising excellence in legal practice and advocacy in Criminal Defence 

Between 2020 and 2024, Domenic was appointed as a member of the LIV Criminal Law Section Executive Committee. The Executive Committee aims to represent all practice areas of Victorian Criminal Law. As part of the role, the committee make contributions on various government and non-government advisory groups, as well as the various Criminal Law Division Court User Groups in each jurisdiction.

Expertise 

Domenic appears as a solicitor advocate on a daily basis across various jurisdictions in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court and Children’s Court of Victoria. He also appears in Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission matters (IBAC). 

He has represented accused persons charged with serious assaults and homicide, driving charges, white-collar crime, large scale drug trafficking and importation and cultivation and sex offences.  

He has extensive experience in representing clients in Supreme Court (Court of Appeal) proceedings, successfully overturning convictions. Domenic has also been successful in having sentences significantly reduced.
