Mia Hyslop

Criminal Lawyer


Mia completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2022 and then went onto complete her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2023. Mia was admitted into practice in 2023 and joined the James Dowsley & Associates team later that year. 

Prior to joining James Dowsley & Associates, Mia worked in Administrative Law gaining experience in the Federal Court of Australia. 

Mia appears regularly in the Magistrates’ Court in a range of summary matters and also instructs counsel and assists in the preparation of County Court matters including trial proceedings. 

Mia is a driven and passionate advocate who will work tirelessly in the defence of her clients and to achieve excellent results. As a criminal lawyer, Mia is committed to ensuring her clients are treated fairly and the rights of an accused person are upheld at all times. 

Mia is a particularly committed solicitor and we are very excited to see what Mia’s future holds at James Dowsley & Associates.
