Domenic Care

Domenic has over 15 years’ experience practicing as a criminal defence lawyer. 

He is a Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Accredited Criminal Law Specialist, having attained his Specialisation in 2018 after successfully completing the LIV’s Criminal Law Specialisation Program. He is an expert in both criminal law and procedure. 

Domenic was appointed in 2020 as a member of the LIV Criminal Law Section Executive Committee. The Executive Committee aims to represent all practice areas of Victorian Criminal Law. As part of the role, the committee make contributions on various government and non-government advisory groups, as well as the various Criminal Law Division Court User Groups in each jurisdiction.

Domenic has received recognition in Doyle’s Guide as Victoria’s Leading Traffic and DUI Lawyer in both 2022 and 2023 as well as Best Criminal Defence Lawyer in 2023. 

Expertise 

Domenic appears as a solicitor advocate on a daily basis across various jurisdictions in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court and Children’s Court of Victoria. He also appears in Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission matters (IBAC). 

He has represented accused persons charged with serious assaults and homicide, driving charges, fraud (including white-collar crime), large scale drug trafficking (including importation and cultivation) and sex offences. He has a particular interest serious driving offences as well as terrorism matters, having represented clients charged with these crimes.
