Criminal Defence Solicitor Frankston
Brett Barratt joined James Dowsley and Associates in 2013 as a law clerk. He has since worked as a paralegal at our Dandenong office between September 2015 and March 2016. Brett commenced as a solicitor in our Frankston office in March 2016. He appears regularly on behalf of clients facing a range of summary and indictable criminal matters in the Magistrates’ Courts. Brett also instructs counsel and assists in the preparation and running of complex indictable criminal cases in the County Court.
In his capacity as a criminal lawyer, Brett is a dedicated advocate and a voice to his clients. Brett understands the commitment required to achieve the best results possible for his clients. Brett is steadfast in his belief in access to justice and equality before the law.
Education and Qualifications
Brett holds Bachelor of Arts (History) and Bachelor of Laws degrees from La Trobe University. Following completion of his tertiary studies, Brett obtained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Institute and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in March 2016.
